GENESIS

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Hiranagar had its inception in 28 MARCH 2003 with classes 1 to 5 at Ravi-Tawi Complex in Hiranagar. It has a good look, easily approachable having well ventilated class rooms. It is being decorated with natural greenery. From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and has current jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Under its working in the same direction, a galaxy of multidisciplinary curricular activities are organized on a regular basis to bring out the best in students. ‘All round personality development’ is an important focus area to enable our students to march with the ever changing world of technology and globalization. We believe in inclusive education with principle “to inspire the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifted children”. We are proud to help our students develop into the next generation dutiful, sensitive and responsible citizens. Our students have achieved many milestones in the past and I sincerely hope that this quest for excellence and achievements will continue in the future as well. Welcome to PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA HIRANAGAR It is indeed my privilege to be the Principal of the PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA HIRANAGAR, an institution that is trying to imparts world-class education to students in J&K. It is said that a leader is born with the birth of every child. The only need is to provide an enabling environment, careful nurturing, and a spring board for meaningful blossoming, honing and effective use of unbound talents. It has therefore become imperative that children be empowered with cognitive and experiential skills that would help them to be global citizens and overcome the challenges of tomorrow. Today’s students must learn a new set of skills, ensuring that they can embrace interconnected concepts, think independently, work collaboratively, act decisively, communicate unambiguously and influence positively. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Sangathan for providing me with this unique opportunity to giving shape to this school as a treasure house of knowledge. I wish to put on records with the incessant assistance and cooperation from all my teaching and non-teaching colleagues and children in managing the school. I welcome comments and suggestions from all our well wishers in the future.
